Wind energy reaches 20% of electrical generation in NS

Wind energy generation in Nova Scotia reached 250 MW at 12:00 a.m. on April 24, representing 20% of the province’s electricity generation at the time. “This is an exciting milestone for Nova Scotia. Recent projects coming online mean that wind energy can now power tens of thousands of homes in our province,” said Mark Sidebottom, general manager of power production at Nova Scotia Power.
