The movie “Gasland” will be shown on Monday May 30, 6:30 pm, at the Tricounty Women’s Centre at 12 Cumberland Street, Yarmouth. Cumberland Street is one block north of Forest Street downtown. This documentary explains the practice of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) in the shale gas operations and the many environmental concerns that go with it, especially the safety of drinking water.

Fracking is being reviewed to be used in this province. This free event is organised by TREPA and the Tricounty Women’s Centre. For more information call Margrit at 742-5542.
