TD Tree Days and Broad Brook

It looks like TREPA may be getting some interested support for its long standing goal of having a real walking trail along Broad Brook with tree improvements to the key sections between Argyle and Parade Streets.

TD Tree Days, a TD Bank volunteer program, provides communities the opportunity to demonstrate leadership in environmental stewardship in their local areas.

Starting in September, thousands of volunteers will plant over 40,000 trees at more than 140 sites in Canada, the US and the UK.

We are excited to have Yarmouth picked as one of 5 sites in Nova Scotia to improve our environment and landscape. We will be planting five foot hardwood trees along Broad Brook trail between Argyle and Parade Streets on Sunday, September 30 from 1 to 3 pm. We hope you can come join us to make a difference in our community!

“I’ve been back three times since planting to check our trees and they are doing well! … I’m so proud to be part of this program and so proud of TD for this commitment..”
