Coastal warming?

The southwest coast of Nova Scotia is in the Z0ne 6 climate realm but as we get inland it drops quickly. But, to some of us on the coast it seems we are seeing a warming trend. This report from NOAA in the United States may provide some evidence that indeed that is happening. It records the increase in bottom and surface water temperatures along the Eastern coast and Gulf of Maine in the U.S. Unfortunately, the data stops at the border. However, we know that the ocean, the Gulf of Maine, and the currents do not. So, indeed, the water in our area seems to be getting warmer and that has a direct impact upon our land temperatures.
